97 (NEWS 321) - Moon Update
By Alara: Okay. So the moon line in the DATE function now pulls from a static phase value set on the calendar. Once an hour, on the hour, the clock will perform its tick functions (the stuff that "announces the progression of the day") and will set the current phase of the moon based on moon_phase() onto the calendar while it's at it. So via this perception, a phase of the moon is FORCED to last at least an hour, even though it might ACTUALLY change and come in range of a new phase sometime WITHIN the hour. Exact phase of the moon without this variation will be still accessible via moon_phase() and its internally-called functions.
